A quiet, focused, and productive Week 13. 🌱 With mid-term exams taking center stage, it was a calm but busy week at Lokiriama Academy. Our JSS classes worked hard to finalize their KNEC projects, while outdoors, Tr. Ann and our PP1 little ones had a wonderful hands-on lesson planting beans. We also celebrated a great campus upgrade with the opening of our new staff washrooms! As we head into the final stretch of the term, Monday and Tuesday will be dedicated to reflecting on our recent exams and charting the academic way forward for every learner. Then comes the big one: Wednesday is Career Day! 👩‍⚕️👨‍🏫👷‍♂️ This exciting event will also double up as our official Closing Day. We can’t wait to see our learners step into their future roles. Making moves, mastering skills, and creating art. What a week it has been so far. We are incredibly proud of our chess giants, Joshua and Prince, for advancing to the sub-county level. A huge congratulations also goes out to our other brilliant contestants who reached the zonal level and received a very warm, well-deserved reception back at school. Beyond the chessboard and the skating rink, our co-curricular spirit is alive and well in the classroom. Hands-on learning continues to thrive as our Grade 5 learners had a colorful time mastering the art of tie and dye under the wonderful supervision of Tr Brendan Masika Whether in academics, chess, or skating, we love seeing our learners explore their talents and grow in confidence. Week 11 at Lokiriama Academy — small moments, big memories. This week brought it all: a special birthday celebration for Peris in Grade 1, proud moments from our learners at the ball games, and hands-on outdoor learning as Grade 3 explored measurement while Grade 1 learned about quantity in the open air. From celebrations to sports to practical lessons beyond the classroom, it was another full week of growth, joy, and school spirit. On court, on field, on fire — Lokiriama Academy showed up. Yesterday our learners competed in handball, netball, and volleyball across both Primary and Junior Secondary, with boys and girls giving their all on court and on the field. A standout moment: our JSS boys fought hard to beat Githunguri in the semifinals and advance to the finals, where they fell just short on penalties. Our JSS girls also impressed, reaching the handball semifinals. In Primary, the individual brilliance of Rose Ndanu, Abubakar Mbarakah,Ashley Wangari, Ivy Victoria, Farhan Abdallah, John Paul and Saad Noor in netball and handball stood out — earning them a chance to represent the cluster. Our Chess Giants in Joshua Obieri and Prince Joshua also advance to the next round. Good luck to all of them. Through every match, our learners showed teamwork, resilience, and heart. Win or lose, we are incredibly proud of their effort and the spirit they brought to every game.
